At the "Ride in 55" State Summit, held on November 10, 25 representatives of the five caucuses and other policymakers proposed actions to develop a coordinated plan based on outcomes of the regional Transportation Caucus priorities for West Virginia. What's Next
"Ride in 55" organizers will meet with representatives of the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) to review the proposed actions and develop a suggested action plan, including tasks, responsible parties and timeline. This draft plan will be disseminated to individuals who attended the Summit and the five Caucuses, who will be asked to review the document, suggest changes, and indicate if they would like to be involved in implementing the plan and where they feel they can be most effective.
"Ride in 55" is a coordinated effort to maximize transportation opportunities for West Virginia residents in all 55 counties and to encourage the best use of transportation resources in our state.
The West Virginia Transportation Caucuses are funded by the Medicaid Infrastructure Grant to Support the Competitive Employment of People with Disabilities, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services - CFDA #1QACMS30059. The lead agency is the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services. This program is managed by the Center for Excellence in Disabilities (CED).
